New logistics network to launch for Italian movers
The Italian Movers Association known as AITI has announced the launch of a 100pc operational and innovative platform to reduce CO2 emissions by optimising transport with fewer empty trucks. The launch of MOVECONNECT will take place on 6 March 2025. The Association mentioned that Moveconnect will be the reference point to optimise and simplify its members’ logistics and operational services. It will provide a window into the world to help members grow their businesses and build relationships that matter with other companies in the industry. Moveconnect is intended to help reduce CO? emissions by optimizing transport with fewer empty trucks and better sustainability. The initiative comes as moving companies begin to embrace sustainability as part of their business model.
UK top European destination for investment
The United Kingdom is the most popular hub for investment according to a new Pw survey. The UK has become the second most important destination for investment after the US with improved confidence the economic outlook cited among other reasons for the improved optimism. Having come fourth in the same survey last year, UK CEOs embrace of of AI is cited as the main reasons.
Moving Founder Elected to Irish Senate
The founder of AMC Removals Aubrey McCarthy has been elected to the upper house in the Irish Parliament known as the Irish Senate. He now sits as an independent member of Seanad Éireann having run a soup kitchen for homeless people in Ireland’s capital called Tiglin and been a pioneer in the moving industry.
